Body Roller - Massage, Recovery and a Workout in one 25 min session. All without breaking a sweat.

One of the coolest ways to help slimming, lymphatic drainage, reduce cellulite and recover from high intensity workouts here at the studio, is by booking a session with this amazing contraption - The Body Roller.

The rollers rotate at varying speeds and are constructed out of authentic, high-quality wood to allow more comfort and durability. Their shape is uniquely sculpted to mimic the fingers of a masseuse more so than a flat roller would and manipulate the lymph to get things moving and acts as a form of Self Myofascial Relief (gym goers more commonly know this as "Foam Rolling") to help muscles recover from high intensity workouts.

The speed on Body Roller machine can be increased/decreased based on your body’s needs. During rolling, it is common to experience an itching sensation from the blood vessels expanding due to the infrared light. Additionally, light bruising and/or soreness is common after rolling but can be reduced by putting less body pressure into the machine.

Our General Manager, Ross, demonstrates below, how the gluteus can be lightly pressed against the body roller to help reduce muscle tension and tightness following leg strength training.

Since a roller massage is several times stronger and more effective than regular massage, body rollers are not recommended for pregnant women or breastfeeding mothers, but it is not prohibited. The final decision is up to you, but with anything this personal or critical, we highly recommend you consult with your doctor.

WHAT IS THE IMPORTANCE OF WATER CONSUMPTION DURING THE LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE MASSAGE?

We recommend that you consume enough water before and after the procedure, as roll massage immediately activates the lymphatic system in our body, which causes fluid to flow through our body.
